  2. The Nifty Image Viewers
  3. -----------------------

  5. These viewers are a handy way to look at the images you have
  6. produced with POVRay 3. The Targa viewer will work on the ST,
  7. the STE or the Falcon, and will produce far more colours than
  8. each of those machines is normally capable of (4096 on an ST,
  9. 32768 on the STE, and 16 million on the Falcon). The GIF
  10. viewer will only work on the Falcon, but it does handle extra
  11. features of it's own - like mouse panning and animated GIFs.

  13. You can set up the viewers in a number of different ways. The
  14. easiest is to install them as double-click applications with
  15. the desktop application menu. With this approach, you only
  16. need to double-click on an image to look at it. Another way
  17. to go about it is to simply drag the image onto the TTP file.

  19. Another particularly good trick for POVRay users is to set up
  20. POVRay 3 as a tool in the Devpac or Lattice text editor which
  21. will allow you to 'render' the top window when you select the
  22. POVRay 3 tool with your scene in the current edit buffer. The
  23. Targa viewer can be set up in a similar way, so that you can
  24. view the newly rendered image belonging to the top window by
  25. just selecting the Targa Viewer tool!
